The pinewood derby is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Contestants will race and show the cars in competition at the 2013 Northeast Rod And Custom Car Show Nationals with many extra's included for all. Awards, Custom Airbrushing and more !! "The pinewood derby is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families. Then they race the cars in competition. The cars are powered by gravity and run down a track. Most packs have a pinewood derby every year. It can be run indoors or outdoors. Full House Motorsports Boy Scouts by hosting an unofficial "Show Day" Pinewood Derby Race and Car Show EventSaturday, March 23, 2013 held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks PA Full House Motorsports is honoring the hard work of the Boy Scouts by hosting an unofficial "Show Day" Pinewood Derby. Time 9-11 8:30 Check in will start. 9:00 we will all go to the stage area where they will be able to grab a morning snack and juice. 9:15 Races will begin. All Scouts will receive a ribbon from this event! After 10:00 you may go into the main car show (stay to see cars as long as you would like). The car that wins gets $100 for their Pack and a Trophy! Two runners up get $50 each for their Pack and a Trophy! Scouts can bring any official car that they have built (they don't have to make a new one for this event). "Professional airbrushing of Pinewood Derby cars will be available" at no cost to the Scouts Other events going on Saturday!! Air Brushing Competition Monster trucks on display Over 300 of the finest show and street cars Elite 6 presentation Celebrities and other events to be announced.
